Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement is published by Alliance Community Home Care in accordance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.

Alliance Community Home Care is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity. We recognise our responsibility to ensure that modern slavery does not occur within any part of our organisation or in the services we provide.

Alliance Community Home Care is a domiciliary care provider based in Thongsbridge, West Yorkshire, delivering high-quality care and support services to individuals in their own homes.

Our services rely on a dedicated workforce and trusted partners, and we are committed to ensuring that all people associated with our organisation are treated with dignity and respect.

Our Commitment

We have a zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.

We are committed to acting ethically in all our business dealings and maintaining effective systems and controls to safeguard against any form of exploitation.

We expect the same standards from all individuals and organisations we work with, including employees, agency staff, suppliers, and contractors.

Policies and Procedures

To support our commitment, we have implemented the following policies:

  • Safeguarding Policy

  • Recruitment and Selection Policy

  • Whistleblowing Policy

  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy

  • Staff Code of Conduct

These policies help ensure that all staff are recruited fairly, treated equally, and aware of their responsibility to report concerns.

Recruitment and Employment Practices

As a care provider, we recognise the importance of ethical recruitment practices. We:

  • Carry out right-to-work checks for all employees

  • Ensure fair pay in compliance with UK employment laws

  • Avoid the use of forced, bonded or involuntary labour

  • Work only with reputable recruitment agencies

Our supply chain is relatively limited and primarily consists of suppliers providing:

  • Care equipment and medical supplies

  • Office and facility services

  • IT and administrative support

We work with trusted suppliers and expect them to comply with all applicable laws, including those relating to modern slavery.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

We assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations as low due to the localised nature of our services. However, we remain vigilant and:

  • Monitor recruitment and staffing practices

  • Review supplier relationships periodically

  • Address any concerns promptly and appropriately

Training

We ensure our staff understand safeguarding responsibilities and how to identify potential abuse or exploitation, including modern slavery.

Training and guidance support staff to:

  • Recognise warning signs

  • Report concerns through appropriate channels

  • Promote dignity, respect, and wellbeing in care delivery

Reporting Concerns

All staff are encouraged to report any concerns regarding unethical behaviour, exploitation, or modern slavery.

Concerns can be raised through our whistleblowing procedure, and all reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially.

Alliance Community Home Care is committed to continuous improvement in identifying and addressing risks related to modern slavery.
