Laura Hunsley - Care Quality Supervisor

Hi, I’m Laura
I’m passionate about making sure every person we support receives care that’s not only safe and consistent, but also kind, personal, and respectful. My role is all about maintaining high standards across our services, helping our teams grow, and creating an environment where clients feel truly valued and at ease.
I’ve worked in the care sector for over 17 years, starting out with a focus on supporting younger people. More recently, I’ve been proud to extend that experience to older adults in our communities – a shift that’s been driven by my deep commitment to improving lives and making a real difference. I hold a Level 4 qualification in Care and Management, which helps guide my approach and keeps me grounded in best practice.

Throughout my career, I’ve always believed in the power of positivity, consistency, and strong relationships. I love getting to know the people we care for, their families, and my colleagues – and I work hard to reflect the values that make Alliance such a special place to be.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two energetic boys, and life is always full of fun and activity. We enjoy family walks with our lovely dog Simba, discovering new places, and cheering on our eldest at his Sunday league football matches.
Katherine Howarth - Care Quality Supervisor

Hey, I’m Katherine
i am a proud mum of two and someone who loves connecting with people, getting creative, and finding little ways to brighten the day.
Life’s always busy, whether I’m chasing after my kids or diving into work, but I try to bring heart and purpose to everything I do. I’m always up for learning something new and finding ways to grow and support others.

At work, I’m a Quality Care Supervisor, which means I help make sure the care we provide is top-notch and really supports people’s wellbeing. I’ve picked up loads of useful skills from parenting—like multitasking, staying calm under pressure, and solving problems on the fly—and they come in handy every single day. I try to lead with empathy and keep communication clear and kind, whether I’m working with clients, staff, or families.
I care a lot—about my kids, my work, and the people around me. I take my responsibilities seriously and always aim to be someone others can count on. I believe in showing up with compassion, being thoughtful, and giving my best, even when things get tough.

My role isn’t just a job—it’s something I’m genuinely passionate about. I love helping create safe, supportive spaces where people feel respected and valued. I also enjoy mentoring staff, celebrating their wins, and helping them grow. Every day brings new challenges, but also new chances to make a difference.

I’ve got a university qualification in health and social care, but it’s the hands-on experience that’s really shaped how I work and connect with others.

People often say I’m friendly, reliable, and easy to talk to. I like staying busy, meeting new people, and building real connections—whether it’s with clients, families, or colleagues. I believe that care should come from the heart, and I try to bring that into everything I do.
Outside of work, I’m happiest spending time with my family, going on dog walks, and sharing a laugh whenever I can. For me, caring isn’t just a job—it’s part of who I am.
