"I have reflected on the last ten days and am in awe at the level of care and personal sacrifices that you and many of your team have made in order to support my parents, responding quickly and efficiently to their recent emergencies.
Sarah, taking Mum to hospital in the snow, and staying all Friday afternoon until my brother could take over, then dialling in after the Friday night emergency and again , being with Mum to reassure her until I could get there. Absolutely outstanding care and it honestly meant the world to me to know that my parents would feel secure in what must have been a confusing and worrying time for them both. There are no words to describe the level of care and understanding that Sarah has for my parents, she is an absolute angel, who always goes the extra mile, nothing is too much trouble and she acts selflessly and compassionately. We are so lucky.
Matt and Tom, thank goodness they are not squeamish, their heroic efforts in getting up and out in the early hours of the morning, not knowing what to expect when they got there, and finding a scene from a horror movie. They acted quickly and advocated for Mum to make sure she was taken safely to hospital. Thank you ☺️
Laura, it was your birthday! What a present, falling down in the snow, trekking over to New Mill to make sure Mum’s needs were taken care of , spending time with her to make sure she was settled in a strange environment, sacrificing special time with your family in your birthday. You didn’t hesitate to make sure Mum was looked after, and that the house was clean and tidy for Dad.
All the carers who have put in extra shifts, doing extra duties to support mum with her personal care, whilst her arm is out of action. Whoever cleaned up the blood bath, they did an amazing job!
Janine (Hope I’ve not her name right), who has never independently cared for Mum and Dad, was thrown in at the deep end with the shopping and cleaning duties,on top of the usual lunch and tea provision. She also had to manage around a physio visit, nurse visit, my aunt and uncle and dog, Laura’s dad measuring up for a hand rail - all taken in her stride. She was brilliant, she got on with everything with minimum support from me.
Richard- measuring up and fitting two handrails within 48 hours of being asked. There can’t be any other care company who provide such a personal, comprehensive service. Jayne, for your calm and professional manner in handling all my calls and queries.
I’ve rambled on, but I wanted you all to know what a fantastic job you are all doing, and what a comfort and support it is for me, especially living so far away, and still in recovery from brain surgery.
Who knows what the next few weeks/ months will bring for Mum and Dad, whatever it is, I know that they are in the best hands.
Thank you all
Joanna"
